I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in Nebraska since 1999. My professional expertise is in several areas. I have a specific focus with Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, Social Security and VA Disability, and Criminal Evaluations. Additional areas of assessment include intellectual assessments for gifted program placement, evaluations for Juvenile Court, Adoption Evaluations (international), evaluations for to assist with medical procedures, and Fitness for Duty. I have historically been involved with assessment for traumatic brain injuries and neurocognitive disorders with the VA and continue these assessments at my practice.
I provide psychotherapy to adolescents and adults with a broad spectrum of mental health issues to include PTSD, psychosis, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I provide services for mental preparedness to the "wilderness athlete" who embarks upon endeavors such as mountaineering, and extreme wilderness adventures.
I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach that includes cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and existential modalities while incorporating principles of positive psychology. I enjoy helping clients identify and utilize their strengths in the therapeutic process, taking an individualized approach depending on a client’s concerns and personal values. I help clients develop insight into the nature of their difficulties while creating a plan to move forward and experience enhanced functioning. I prefer to work with adolescent and adult clients using individual and family therapy interventions.
