I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Substance Use Counseling. Prior to being in Private Practice, I gained experience working in a community counseling clinic, and both inpatient and outpatient settings for individuals suffering with severe persistent mental illness. I have 16 years of experience in the helping profession working with individuals from a variety of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
I provide individual and couples psychotherapy for Adults with conditions such as: Anxiety, Panic Attack, Nightmares, Depression, Childhood Hurts, Stress, Dissociation, Grief and Loss, Trauma and PTSD to name a few. I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy to fit your individual and unique needs including but not limited to EMDR, CBT, REBT, Humanistic, Solution Focused, and Client Centered. I am a member of The American Counseling Association (ACA), the Nebraska Counseling Association (NCA), The EMDR Regional Network, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
I specialize in Trauma work, both single event and Complex Trauma. I was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in 2019 through EMDRIA (International Association). EMDR is an extensively researched and evidence-based method of therapy designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. Often those who have experienced trauma have some level of addiction. Trauma leads to states of dysregulation which leads many people to substances for relief. Healing is possible. If you are ready to take your life back, it would be my privilege to walk with you on your journey to health and healing. You are not your trauma and you are not alone in this experience.
